These brave ladies made significant contributions to our society "in life" as philanthropists, entrepreneurs or activists. We also spotlight punishing ladies who were important culturally, politically or economically. These extraordinary women were pioneers in their profession, stood on the barricades or rowed pugnaciously against the current. They paved the way for many famous and unknown women after them. Admirable because they did not always have the zeitgeist on their side.
They deserve not to be forgotten.
