Closed/open doors

Are you curious about what faiths and philosophies of life there are in Bruges?
This walking route offers you a glimpse behind doors that often remain closed. At nine stops, you will meet Anglicans, Hindus, Muslims, Orthodox, Protestants, Roman Catholics, liberal humanists, YOT vzw and (Zen) Buddhists.
You will pause for a moment at their fixed spot and in a short film each time a member of the community or philosophical organization introduces himself, together with their source, symbols and rituals.
Another important thing to know: the mosque and the stop around Buddhism/Hinduism are outside the walking route in the center of Bruges, but are included in the route nevertheless. Just click on the indicated points to see them. Bruges does not have its own synagogue (the nearest is Ostend) and is therefore not mentioned in this route.
This route is an initiative of Erfgoedcel Brugge, Diversiteitsdienst Brugge, Vormingplus regio Brugge, S-wan, YOT vzw, CCV and ZoWe.
