Do it yourself with MOT & GO in Grimbergen

Discover the wonderful world of natural propulsion and mechanical transmission with MOT & GO. Solve all kinds of challenges using your smartphone or tablet and experience technology in a whole new way. For example, create a timeline using paint cans or go shopping among the store shelves featuring new tools and vintage collectibles.

This interactive exhibition at the Museum of Traditional Crafts in Grimbergen runs from April through September at the Tommenmolen, every weekend and on holidays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plan for a visit of up to 2 hours. Ideal for students in the first year of secondary school. Guided tours tailored to the needs of schools and groups are available.

Unravel mysterious clues in Ename

A mysterious figure is wandering around Ename . No one knows who it is or why it’s there. One thing is certain: the figure needs your help. Gather clues, solve puzzles, and help unravel the mystery. These tours will take you back hundreds of years in time. Along the way, you’ll learn more about Ename’s heritage.

Choose from a hike of 2 km or 3 km and expect about 2 hours of fun . The tour is ideal for teens aged 10 to 15. At the reception desk of the Ename Heritage Site, you’ll receive all the materials you need to complete the challenges and solve the mystery.

Mechelen: Dossin Barracks – What’s New?

In Mechelen , you ’ll find Kazerne Dossin, a memorial, museum, and research center dedicated to the Holocaust and human rights. There, you can learn more about Belgium’s history of the Holocaust. During World War II, Kazerne Dossin served as a transit camp from which thousands of Jews, Roma, and Sinti were deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau or other camps. Today, it is a memorial site where you can learn more about various types of human rights violations from the past and present.

With the ErfgoedApp tour Kazerne Dossin – What’s New? you’ll discover the role propaganda played and learn how to recognize deception, even today. The tour is designed for young people ages 15 and up, but adults can also learn a lot. Allow about an hour and a half.
