Stumbling stones in Deurne - North

In Deurne, you can find trip-stones in the sidewalk in several places. They are commemorative plaques for victims of World War II. Jewish families in the neighborhood had little choice during the war years: obey the strict regulations, flee, go into hiding or resist. Of the approximately 500 Jews in Deurne, 260 never returned home. Discover the stories of persecution and exclusion, but also courage, resistance and hope.

The walk in Deurne-Noord consists of two parts. The second part starts at point 10 in the Te Couwaarlei 31.
In Deurne-Zuid a different walk departs.

The walk starts from the citizens' initiative 'Struikelstenen in Deurne' in cooperation with the ErfgoedLab and with the voice of Geertje De Ceuleneer.
