Cycling past valuable wooded heritage in Gistel

Hedges, wooded edges, orchards, avenues... these are all small landscape elements that tell us something about the history and ancient customs of our region. They are elements that bear witness to a certain identity and landscape character. However, they are often also vulnerable elements that are under threat of disappearing due to pressure from intensive land use, urbanization, and increasing mobility, among other things. Wooded heritage therefore deserves our attention. This bike tour introduces you to a number of interesting and beautiful spots in Gistel. One by one, these spots tell us something about wooded heritage and shed light on the history of the town.
