Cycling along valuable woody heritage in Gistel

Hedges, wood edges, orchards, avenues ... are all small landscape elements that tell something about the history and old customs of our region. They are elements that bear witness to a certain identity and landscape character. However, they are often also vulnerable elements that - under pressure of intensive land use, urbanization and increasing mobility, among other things - are in danger of disappearing. Woody heritage therefore deserves our attention. Through this bicycle tour we introduce you to a number of interesting and beautiful places in Gistel. One by one these spots tell something about woody heritage and shed light on the history of the city.
