What if... heritage can connect?
The exhibition DNAalst tells the story of Aalst and its rich history.
However, the city does not stand still and evolves every day. How do new and old inhabitants of Aalst view this history? Which stories could be a fascinating addition to the exhibition?
We discover it in the exhibition DNAalst viewed differently.

A group of enthusiastic students from LIGO - center for primary education - got to work with Aalst's heritage and with their own heritage stories. Throughout the exhibition, new stories are interwoven with the story of Aalst. With video, photo, texts and objects, the heritage of the city enters into dialogue with the heritage of its inhabitants.
